NYC Boiler Inspections
NYC Department of Buildings Local Law 62 of 1991
Within the five boroughs of New York City, if you are the owner of a commercial building, mixed use, or a private house (six-family or greater), then your low pressure boiler must be inspected annually. The inspection must be filed no later than November 15th of each year. The building owner is responsible to ensure that this is done, or is subject to fines up to $1,500. This is a requirement regardless if you use gas or oil heat.
