Services Offered
We can service any and all types of oil burning equipment. Whether its high pressure commercial, oil/gas combination units, or residential, we can handle it. We provide 24 hour a day 7 days a week emergency heating service. At Ranshaw, you will never be left in the cold. Our service technicians are trained professionals that project the highest level of courtesy and respect for our customers. In fact, all of our service technicians are certified by NORA, the National Oil Research Alliance.
In addition to our professional burner service, we are also qualified to perform annual and triennial NYC boiler inspections and file the necessary forms that are required.
Annual NYC Boiler Inspection
NYC Department of Buildings Local Law 62 of 1991
In New York's 5 boroughs, if you are the owner of a commercial building, mixed use, or a private house six-family or greater, then your low pressure boiler must be inspected annually. The inspection must be filed no later than December 31st of each year. The building owner is responsible to ensure that this is done, or is subject to fines up to $1,500. This is a requirement regardless if you use gas heat or oil heat.
Triennial NYC Boiler Inspection
NYC Department of Environmental Protection also requires triennial filing and possible inspection for certain types of burners. Most boilers rated at 350,000 BTU input and above, except for 1 and 2 family homes, fall within this criteria. As a service to our customers, Ranshaw can perform and file the registration for original and renewal inspections. Ranshaw can also file the certificates of operation, which includes on-site meetings with Department of Environmental Protection inspectors.
All of our technicians have gone through extensive training and are certified by the National Oilheat Research Alliance. This certification demonstrates Ranshaw's commitment to excellence and to our customers.
